Piano exam success

Congratulations to all of my students who successfully completed RIAM exams in the first half of 2022. Results were absolutely outstanding - all of my students were awarded Honours and Distinctions. Congratulations to Adela, Isobel, Emma, Eva, Lara, Izabella, Marija, Ella, Sophia, Carol, Noreen, Alexandra, Maya, Kate, Oisín and Siomha.

Easter Concert 2021

We are delighted to present our 2021 Easter concert, consisting of piano performances recorded remotely by students of Carra Music School.

Our annual Christmas concert took place virtually in 2020, with students submitting home videos featuring a range of Christmas classics and some original compositions. These videos showcase piano playing and singing from students of Carra Music School.

Baltas Angelas, written by Diana Balciunaite performed by Bitela (Lithaunian Junior Choral Ensemble) directed by Ausra Kvietkute. This video was filmed in Co. Mayo during COVID-19 restrictions in 2020.

Lockdown videos

Carra Singers, directed by Ausra Kvietkute of Carra Music School, perform 'A Blessing', with words from traditional Irish Blessings and additional lyrics and music by Jay Althouse. The video was filmed in Co. Mayo during COVID-19 restrictions in 2020.

Congratulations to Carra Music School student Isobel Phillips who received a High Achiever Award for Grade 3 in 2019 from the Royal Irish Academy of Music.  She was one of only five piano students selected to play at the RIAM Connacht-Ulster High Achiever Award ceremony in the Hawk's Well Theatre in Sligo in January 2020.

Christmas 2019

Some photos from Carra Music School 2019 Christmas  concert in Belcarra Community Centre. We were delighted to welcome Jonathon Staunton, Guitar Tutor, and his students as guests.

Carra Singers with Musical Director Ausra Kvietkute at the Kilmovee Thatched Cottage Christmas Concert. They are joined by their guest Michael Cassidy, a student of Carra Music School.

Belcarra Youth Choir, directed by Ausra Kvietkute were invited to perform as part of the Nutcracker with Mayo Youth Orchestra and Jeté Youth Project.
